This Privacy Policy explains how Limometal Europe d.o.o. and Limometal d.o.o. collect, use and protect your personal data when you visit this website and request information about our products. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Croatian law.
1. Who we are
This website is run by two sister companies:
- Limometal Europe d.o.o., Zagreb, Croatia: sells to customers in the EU.
- Limometal d.o.o., Cazin, Bosnia and Herzegovina: the manufacturer; sells to customers outside the EU.
Your request can be handled by either company, depending on where the house is to be delivered and who can best answer it. Both may see it, so that it reaches the right one. For any question about your data, and to exercise your rights, write to sales[at]limometal.hr.
2. Data we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the details you provide: your name, e-mail address, phone number if given, delivery location, and the configuration you built. Our hosting provider also records basic technical data in server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) to run and secure the site. We set no cookies; see section 7.
3. Why we use your data
We use your data to prepare and send your offer, respond to your enquiry, and carry out the steps you request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). With your consent, we may send you updates about relevant products (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We also process limited technical data to operate, secure, and improve the website, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run this site and our business, acting on our instructions: Vercel Inc. (hosting and delivery of the site), our e-mail provider, and transport partners for a confirmed order. Fonts, software libraries and videos are served from this site itself, so loading the page contacts no other company's servers. We may also disclose data where required by law.
If you contact us through WhatsApp or Facebook, or open our Facebook page or our Google reviews, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. or Google Ireland Ltd. processes your data as a separate controller under its own terms, and data may be transferred to the USA. Nothing from these services loads on this site until you click one of those links.
5. International transfers
If your request is handled by Limometal d.o.o., or both companies see it (section 1), your data is transferred to Bosnia and Herzegovina, for which the European Commission has not adopted an adequacy decision. We transfer it only because it is needed to answer your request and prepare your quote (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).
Our hosting provider Vercel is a US company that serves the site from data centres including ones in the EU; any transfer to the USA rests on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Enquiry and offer data is generally kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless a contract or legal obligation requires longer retention.
7. Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, so no cookie banner is shown. It keeps two small items in your browser's local storage, which stay on your device and are not sent to us: your chosen language (lm26-lang) and a discount code you have typed in (lm26-coupon), so they are still there on your next visit. To label the regional language option, the site may ask our hosting provider for the country of your connection; the answer is a two-letter country code, used only for that label and not stored. You can clear local storage at any time in your browser settings. If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this section.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data and to request its correction, deletion, or restriction; to object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sales[at]limometal.hr. We will respond within the statutory time limits.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, azop.hr) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the most recent update shown above.
